Reference

The amount you will get from this benefit depends on your situation:

  • If you are a valid certificate holder of a Disability Tax Credit (DTC) as of June 1, 2020, you will get a special one-time-tax payment of $600.
  • If you are a valid certificate holder of a Disability Tax Credit and you are eligible for the Old Age Security (OAS) pension and the Guaranteed Income Supplement (GIS), you will get $100.
  • If you are a valid certificate holder of a Disability Tax Credit and you are eligible for the Old Age Security (OAS) pension but not the GIS, you will get $300.

These amounts are different because Canadians who are eligible for the OAS pension and/or the GIS are getting other special payments in addition to this benefit.
