If you are a citizen of the First Nations, Inuit or Métis Nation who is in post-secondary education, you may be able to get extra financial relief if you have been impacted by COVID-19.

The Government of Canada has provided the First Nations, Inuit and Métis Nation with additional funding to support students pursuing post-secondary education. This additional financial aid is to be distributed by the First Nations, Inuit and Métis Nation at their own discretion. Please contact them to determine your eligibility.

Eligibility

You must be a citizen of the First Nations, Inuit or Métis Nation who is pursuing post-secondary education.

How to apply
  • First Nations students should contact their band council office or the organization that administers your Post-Secondary Student Support Program.
  • Inuit students should contact your respective Inuit land-claim organization.
  • Métis Nation students should contact your respective Governing Member.
